Allison Kelly, MSW, APSW
Allison has more than a decade of experience providing case management and service coordination to individuals from a wide range of backgrounds. She earned both her undergraduate degrees in Philosophy and Comparative Literature and her Master of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Much of Allison’s professional experience has been in healthcare and community-based settings. She has supported individuals living with chronic illnesses in outpatient care, people hospitalized with substance use disorders, and individuals with disabilities living independently in the community. She is especially passionate about working with people experiencing substance use concerns and is a committed LGBTQIA+ ally.
Allison takes a person-centered, trauma-informed approach to her work. She believes the people she works with are the experts on their own lives and strives to support them in making changes that are meaningful and important to them. Her approach emphasizes creating relationships that are authentic, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. She also incorporates motivational interviewing and harm-reduction principles to help individuals identify their goals, build on their strengths, and improve their overall well-being.
Outside of work, Allison enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, practicing yoga, and sewing clothes.
