Molly McDonough, MSW, LCSW
Molly is a licensed clinical social worker with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She has experience helping children, adolescents, adults, and families find healing, growth, and connection through compassionate, evidence‑based care. Over the years, Molly has worked in a wide range of settings, including inpatient psychiatry, outpatient programs, community mental health, emergency departments, forensic mental health, and child protective services.
Her practice is grounded in trauma‑informed care and guided by values of respect, collaboration, and authenticity. Molly specializes in supporting children, teens, families, and caregivers, as well as individuals connected to adoption and foster care. She is also committed to providing LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent‑affirming care, as well as practicing culturally responsive and identity affirming approaches.
Molly takes a collaborative approach to her work, emphasizing a strengths-based, client-centered style. Her practice is grounded in evidence-based and trauma-informed care, guided by deep respect and affirmation for each client’s lived experience, cultural background, and personal identity. Molly currently serves as a mental health professional and substance abuse professional for Amethyst Wellness.
Outside of her work, Molly enjoys spending time with family, connecting with others, exploring the outdoors with her pets, and practicing yoga.
